'I am different, not less.' Experiences of CAMHS and mental health support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Milton Keynes
We joined forces with Parents and Carers Alliance MK (PACA MK) to investigate the experiences of families using CAMHS and Mental Health support for children and young people with autism and special educational needs.
PACA MK invited us to gather the thoughts and views of parent carers who have used Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
The PACA MK team gathered parent/carer accounts, and conducted a survey, to understand their experiences of mental health support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Milton Keynes.
We've also gathered the views of parents, carers, and young people around their experiences of seeking mental health and social care support.
Our joint report details those findings and makes recommendations for change.
