Have your say on IVF options and gluten-free prescribing in Milton Keynes
Earlier this year, three former Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes merged to become one organisation. This is now the team of NHS commissioners who manage the delivery of services across Milton Keynes.
Most of the existing policies for each area were very similar, however there are still big differences in three key areas. To ensure that all residents across Bedford, Luton and Milton Keynes have equal access to services, in the future there will be a single policy for each service.
The Case for Change document provides information so that you can understand the differences between the policies and give your views on our proposals:
- Fertility services – Make fertility services available to a broader group of residents, including those with specific protected characteristics who did not previously have access to the service. This will include a review of the number of cycles of IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation) available.
- Aligning the policy on:
- Milton Keynes Pharmacy First Minor Ailment Scheme. This service is currently only available in Milton Keynes.
- Gluten-Free food prescribing. Patients in Luton currently only have access to bread and flour prescriptions.
Please get involved and share your views.
It's important that as many people as possible in Milton Keynes help to shape these new policies. Whether you are directly affected by the issues or not, the chances are you'll know someone who might be in the future.
Your thoughts and experiences will help our local NHS commissioning team to understand the health needs of our community.
This consultations runs until midnight on Tuesday 21 December 2021.
